It's Crunch Time!

Another rainy day.  Ismay is working hard to get ready for summer.  Her favorite move of the month is the leg lift!  She loves how it makes her abs feel (especially her lower abs)!  Add this move into your workout for lean abs!  Ismay especially found this site great for some ab exercise ideas. ;-)

Don't forget, abs start in the kitchen so drink tons of water, eat lean protein and water-based veggies, and stick to eating the majority of your carbs during the day so that you can burn them off throughout!

Hellooooo abs!

It Feels A Lot Like Spring

Change is in the air!  It is officially springtime!  With the spring comes spring cleaning, fresh starts, new life!  Ismay and Indigo have been working especially hard these past few months.  They have moved into a new apartment, a larger one, giving them so much more space for shoes and room to decorate!  This Saturday night the girls have decided to host a small dinner party in their new place to celebrate.  They are taking time to light some candles and just relax in their new home with close friends!

On The Border

After a long rainy day, Ismay and Indigo are ready to head out the door for a late dinner.  Ismay made two restaurant suggestions for dinner, but Indigo could really go for guacamole... Mexican anyone?

April Showers Bring... Illness!

Indigo was feeling very under the weather these past few days.  It was raining outside on this Thursday night in April.  Indigo plopped herself down on a big comfy floor pillow and caught up on episodes of Orange Is The New Black.  Thank goodness for Netflix.  Meanwhile, Ismay has been on a health kick, doing whatever she can to stay healthy and get in shape for summer!  She joined Indigo and sipped a fruit smoothie for dessert as she curled up on the couch for TV time!

Night Night, Sleep Tight!

After a long day, Ismay is calmly drinking some earl grey tea as she unwinds.  Indigo, with her hair all disheveled, is dragging her feet around the apartment like a zombie.  Meanwhile, the newest members of the family, Mimi and Coco (Ismay's bunny and Indigo's cat) are racing around the apartment, full of bewildering energy.  Ismay is laughing at them.  Indigo is not amused.  She just wants to fall into her bed.  Now.

Costume Ideas?!

Any idea what you are going to be for Halloween this year?  Ismay and Indigo need ideas!  Submit a suggestion below and maybe they will wear your costume idea!  They are trying to pull together costumes for a party they are going to tomorrow!  Mimi and Coco have their ideas already.  Can you guess what they have decided?  :-P

It's The Holiday Season

After Hurricane Sandy it took a good week to get back to normal life.  Now that life is back to normal the girls are excited to be in the thick of the holiday season.  Christmas can't come soon enough!  This weekend is going to be great.  Saturday night is the first holiday party that Ismay and Indigo plan to host together in their apartment.  The tree is up.  The decorations are on.  The pantry is stocked with various flavors of hot chocolate and tons of mini marshmallows!

Happy Holidays!!!

Waffles Won't Cut It

Hurricane Sandy hit hard.  The winds were swirling angrily and the rain was hitting the earth like daggers.  They watched from their windows as the water crept further and further up the street until it just about reached their lobby door.  The girls were without power for about a week!  They read books by candlelight and survived on sandwiches for a while.  Out of sheer boredom and curiosity, they even tried to make waffles over a bunch of candle flames, but eventually the candlelight made Ismay dizzy, the fumes gave Indigo a headache, and they ran out of frozen waffles.  Can anyone take us in?!

Friday Mornings

Aww I remember this spring morning!
I was drinking a chai latte.  YUM!
---Ismay

Winter is here, but the girls long for those distant spring days when the weather was warm and the days were long.  However, Ismay and Indigo are anxious to do their Christmas shopping.  Ismay loves trying to figure out the perfect gift to get everyone she knows and imagining their smiling faces when they unwrap their perfect packages.  Indigo can't wait to get the shopping over with.  She detests crowds and mobs of people and long lines.  In fact, maybe she will do all her shopping online.

Poolside

Yesterday was the perfect day for a pool party.  Ismay and Indigo spent their Friday afternoon and evening at their friend's house, lounging at the pool, playing songs on acoustic guitar that were reminiscent of the early and mid 90's, eating barbecue, and throwing back a few sodas.  The perfect way to spend a Friday night.  ;-)

Puppies?!

This afternoon the girls passed by a new pet shop in the mall.  Naturally, they stopped in.  Ismay immediately fell in love with a tiny, fluffy, white puppy with this crazed smile on his face.  Did their apartment building even allow pets???  Indigo hoped the answer was no.  As cute as the puppy was, she wasn't quite sold on the idea.  Having a dog would make traveling this summer really difficult... But he was really really cute...

Beginner's Luck

It was a slow Sunday.  Indigo suggested they play a card game before heading out to the restaurant to meet up with some friends for dessert.  Ismay had never played this game before so Indigo, feeling lucky, decided this would be the perfect way to pay for her dessert tonight.  However, that idea got "flushed".  I guess she could always drink water...  That's still free, right?

WAH!

Indigo (left), Ismay (right)

Outside of their apartment this morning, Ismay was swooning over some random lady's baby.  She loves babies.  Somehow she got Indigo to hold him.  Although someday Indigo figures she might like to have a baby, most of the time other people's babies make her uncomfortable.  She held him like she didn't know what to do with him and when he started to cry she held him up like some diseased wild animal.  The lady took her son back and left... Quickly.
